PS: esbuild ^0.20.0 has been released with some breaking changes https://github.com/evanw/esbuild/releases and new features. As tested on my repos by forcing 'resolutions' to esbuild 0.22.2 I didn't see any issues with tsup.

Motivations

• Avoid multiple installations of esbuild (most projects have upgraded their deps to ^0.20.+, ie: tsx, vite ...). That would make install lighter and faster.
