From time to time it happens that a corrupted artifact is stored inside the local repository. Now we are storing the properties (md5+sha1) of the artifact we should use that to check the file and trigger downloading it again if it is broken.

This might also be used if an artifact has changed its properties, as long as the hashsum is the same we could consider only updating the local properties.
