npmInstall as spawned from the generator inside generated apps, is too slow. It can take 90seconds just to install bootstrap.

I m not yet sure whats going on, but this is a performance regression, the new api sure has its way of bringing non-improvements.

Needs more debugging

  • node version: 14
  • macOS 11.6
  • eXist-db version: all
  • generator version: 5.1.1-SNAPSHOT
  • install method: npm link
