ACL in eXide's DB manager

Is it possible to add Access Control List capabilities to the DB manager? The one in the collection manager (from the dashboard) hasn't been working for years, and the only way of setting ACL right now (i.e. with eXist-db 4.6.0) is via the Security Manager XQuery library module, since there's an issue with the Java Admin Console (eXist-db/exist#2515).
