typescript files?

In 1.0.0 the typescript support was removed. It didn't seem correct the way it was done exporting into the dist/ dir. Someone with typescript knowledge should look into what should be done here, if anything. As an alternative, perhaps the issue can be externalized to https://github.com/DefinitelyTyped/DefinitelyTyped and setup something like how it is for jsonld.
