PR ( dask/dask#9038 ) seems ambitious to me. Planning on doing another round of reviews, but may be pretty slow in the near term unfortunately.

PR ( dask/distributed#6557 ) can be merged if we are not too concerned with having a test. My feeling there is a test will not be pleasant on CI and unless we run it locally regularly it may not be of much value.

Side note: Will be out on the 24th.

dask/distributed#6626 fixes a regression dask/distributed#6624 that was introduced in 2022.6.0
