How are existing project entries edited? Does someone have to be an owner? #2126

I couldn't find any documentation that indicated how to edit an existing project entry. If it requires being identified as an owner, the owner listed for GenevaERS is no longer with the project. I should replace the project owner that is listed.

thanks

In general you need to be an "owner" or "editor" of the badge entry to edit it.

We can change the owner to someone else. We just need evidence that the new owner should be authorized. You might want to email me, dwheeler at linuxfoundation dot org, to work that out. I presume this involves GenevaERS https://www.bestpractices.dev/en/projects/4181 ; thanks!

BTW, the owner or existing editors can add more editors. If one person is more "stable", you might want to make them the owner, and then add any editors you want. I'd be happy to help.

I need the user id number of the new owner on the OpenSSF Best Practices Badge. The current owner is 6444. Create an account on the Best Practices Badge site, log in, and see your profile... and you'll see it.

I also need evidence that this is an authorized transfer. Please send me an email at dwheeler AT linuxfoundation DOT org, we can get that started.
