Multiple templated folders at the same level not created

I want to be able to create multiple templates folders using cookicutter. One named {{cookiecutter.app_name}}-lambda and another named {{cookiecutter.app_name}}-resources both at the same top level. However cookiecutter only creates the one with "-resources" leaving out the lambda folder. However when I remove the resources folder the the lambda folder is created.
Can CC only create one templates folder at the same level?
