I want to deploy using Additional Layer Storage (ALS) for use with rootless Podman in production, but ALS is still marked as experimental in the source:

I'm getting pushback about deploying it because if ALS being 'experimental' (ie unsupported by the community and may be yanked out at some point)

I realize that this is something that has to be done via containers/storage, but does anyone here know the status of getting this out of 'experimental'?

I'm willing to help in that process, any ideas on how that could be done?

@GerrySeidman Thank you for your interest! The remaining limitation is at least the support for layer verification as mentioned in containers/storage#795 (comment) .

@ktock @GerrySeidman what do you think about having layer verification as suggested in containers/storage#795 (comment) ?
