Expected Behavior

Process the full run.

Current Behavior

When running our software with clinic doctor or bubbleprof it throws the following error at some point:

Error: Initiated Worker with invalid NODE_OPTIONS env variable: --trace-events-enabled is not allowed in NODE_OPTIONS

The command works when using flame or without clinic.

This turns out to be very hard to google, as a lot of results just end up talking about legacy-ssl options.

I am a bit lost on how to even approach this as I am rather new to profiling nodejs applications that use workers and more complex stuff.

Environment

  • Clinic.js version: v13.0.0
  • Node.js version: v20.5.1
  • Browser name and version: No browser involved
  • Operating system and version: Ubuntu 22.04
