Being

To be, to exist.

A being is an entity that exists (which is all Entities in the system of Existence). We tend to use being, in place of entity, to place anthropomorphic characteristics on the Entity.

Cultural Definition

being (wiktionary)

Verb

Present participle of be.

Noun

A living creature.

The state or fact of existence, consciousness, or life, or something in such a state.

(philosophy) That which has actuality (materially or in concept).

(philosophy) One's basic nature, or the qualities thereof; essence or personality.

Being (Wikipedia)

Being is an extremely broad concept encompassing objective and subjective features of reality and existence. Anything that partakes in being is also called a "being", though often this use is limited to entities that have subjectivity (as in the expression "human being"). So broad a notion has inevitably been elusive and controversial in the history of philosophy, beginning in western philosophy with attempts among the pre-Socratics to deploy it intelligibly.

Pattern Expression

There are many synonyms to a Being. The reason for this split in language relates to the implicit scope of the definition of Intelligence.

This philosophy broadens the scope of the definition of Intelligence. Cultural definition of intelligence varies, and is commonly synonymous with Biological Intelligence, Human Intelligence, etc.
