Is there a way to get separate billing for different iam users inside an aws account?

Hi @arseniymerkulov, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to directly view billing by IAM user in Cost Explorer. Resources are owned by an account, not a user, and the billing is tracked accordingly. If you are primarily worried about tracking the billing for the creation of resources by different users, you could look into cost allocation tags. Otherwise, the recommended way to track cost for different entities is using separate accounts in the same organization. Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

a question came up
i added tag to the bucket with boto (s3.client.put_bucket_tagging method), i can see it in the aws interface. But it is missing in cost allocation tags menu and i cant activate it with boto (CostExplorer.client.update_cost_allocation_tags_status method). For this to be possible, you need to create a tag differently?

Hey @arseniymerkulov, thanks for following up. The documentation for activating user-defined cost allocation tags mentions that it can take up to 24 hours for new tags to appear in the cost allocation console. Has it been 24 hours since you created the tag?
