Why AWS SDK for python has a name (boto) and for other languages not? #3318

Hi @vvenegasv, we actually have another issue that discusses this. You can find the response from the original author of Boto here. It's also included in the intro of the project README:

Boto (pronounced boh-toh) was named after the fresh water dolphin native to the Amazon river. The name was chosen by the author of the original Boto library, Mitch Garnaat, as a reference to the company.
