Is this a feature relevant to companion itself, and not a module?
I believe this to be a feature for companion, not a module
Is there an existing issue for this?
I have searched the existing issues
Describe the feature
Please make a page with hyperlinks to each stored log file so it can be downloaded via the web browser.
logs are apparently archived (now? I am on 3.2.0 but don't remember this in the past) as implied by the log message, log: You can view older logs in the configuration folder
It also might be nice if a user can delete old log archives. I'm not convinced myself that this is a good idea.
Usecases
The web GUI user needs to access log files, but might not have access to the OS hosting Companion. Many possible reasons for this: user is on a different computer accessing Companion over a network; user lacks permissions to the configuration folder of Companion; etc.
