The tutorial has been written quite a while ago and does not make use of the newest features. It should be updated. This will solve issues #562, #614, #707, and #715.

Newly introduced features that should be included

  • bats_require_minimum_version/bats warnings
  • bats_pipe
  • debugging: --verbose-run, -x
  • allude to run options
  • bats_load_library
  • setup_suite/teardown_suite
  • clarify variables visibility fromsetup_file/setup_suite/setup
  • BATS_TEST_RETRIES
  • BATS_TEST_TIMEOUT
  • tagging
