Hey @basmilius,
first of all i want to thank you for the great work you are doing.
I have an open-source project myself, running a project which has to do with home automation (home assistant). I created a widget for this home assistant dashboard, which makes great use of your icons in displaying weather related information.
the weather integration yields different states which my widget maps into the corresponding icons.
just today i received a request from the user @tykeal, who made the point that it's confusing that my widget maps an internal state called exceptional into the hurricane icon.
i see @tykeal's point, though i cannot actually find a symbol in your icon set which properly represent an exceptional without being too specific about a certain weather condition (hurricane.
hence i wanted to ask whether you could create an icon which represents an exceptional weather condition. @tykeal suggested to use an exclamation triangle, which I would also find quiet useful.
Hey :)
Sorry for the late response, quite busy with a new job.
Did you have some time to think about an icon for this? I did a bit of research and didn't came across something suiting. A cloud with an exclamation triangle also came up. Thoughts?
Maybe go a little overboard (it is exceptional after all ;) )? So... maybe two forms? sun + cloud + exclamation triangle and moon + cloud + exclamation triangle. That way the icon can still indicate a day / night cycle along with the exceptional weather notification
Honestly, just a very nice exclamation triangle would probably be fine, the weather service that I'm using which caused all of this hub-bub pulls ends up reporting exceptional weather instead of some finite type of weather type if their data set (likely coming from NOAA) is reporting an exceptional weather advisory of any type.
