React Parsing Error: Missing '@babel/plugin-bugfix-safari-id-destructuring-collision-in-function-expression

We have a vitejs react application which is throwing an internal server error:
0:0 error Parsing error: [BABEL]: Cannot find module '@babel/plugin-bugfix-safari-id-destructuring-collision-in-function-expression'

Tried to install @babel/plugin-bugfix-safari-id-destructuring-collision-in-function-expression as a dev dependency and added the same in .babelrc but the issue still persists.

I'm affected by this too on Windows (no WSL), though not Vite.

It's not even clear what lib is trying to use @babel/plugin-bugfix-safari-id-destructuring-collision-in-function-expression.
Have you been able to figure it out?

EDIT: To be clear, this is happening while installing the libs with yarn install.

Indeed, I did check this one. It's enabled by default on Windows 11.

Hmm strange. To be clear this is happening for me on non-WSL (so NodeJS is installed to Windows (via winget)).

I think it is likely to be related to MAX_PATH. I run such an command will be successful.
yarn install --cache-folder ./cache
I remember seeing that Nodejs has not supported this well. :)

@liuxingbaoyu Indeed, this was/is my theory as well, but couldn't make sense of it since LongPathsEnabled is enabled in the registry.
Thank you for filling in the gaps here.

I tried making the path as short as possible with

PS C:\> git clone git@github.com:hsjoberg/blixt-wallet.git b
PS C:\> cd b
PS C:\b> yarn install --cache-folder ./c
[...]
[5/5] Building fresh packages...
success Saved lockfile.
Done in 291.97s.

and it works! 💯

Perhaps a far shot, but curiously I also looked into whether forcing long paths via the \\?\ prefix could work, but git seems to bail out if you do that.
