Serverless V2 Support in RDS > describeDBEngineVersions #4201
-
Hi, With the advent of serverless v2 currently the AWS RDS console allows you to create a serverless v2 instance by selecting; Engine type: Amazon Aurora => Edition: Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition => click 'Hide Filters' to display extra options and select 'Show versions that support Serverless v2' => this generates a list of Available versions consisting of just two (2) versions; 3.02.0 and 3.02.1. => under 'Instance configuration' the radio button for 'Serverless' is selectable, select it => then the instance drop down displays 'Serverless v2 - new'. It seems the RDS > describeDBEngineVersions API doesn't currently list any 'serverless - aurora-mysql8.0' versions. Is this on the roadmap to implement or is there another way to create serverless v2 instances using the current aws-sdkv2 for JS? |

Hey @matthewlynden thanks for opening this issue, from what I have researched the Aurora are considering to provide that kind of support using SDKs but its not a priority. |
