Force different electron version which runs Atom?

Is there any way to force using different electron version with Atom? Also want to ask, what is current state of electron 12+ in Atom?
Latest version of VS Code is using Electron v.13.1.8
Just asking because in the current stable, using Atom with fractional scaling on Wayland results in blurry fonts.
I wish to use electron 12+ to avoid this issue.

(No) Unfortunately new versions are incompatible, and Atom breaks on version 12
