Based on discussion on Gitter channel:

  • Rename --root to --sourceroot
  • Rename --outroot to --output (aliased as -o)
  • combine --canonicalroot and --mountroot by by adding a root relative path usage to canonicalroot
  • Add improved documentation on how to use each of the root concepts
  • Add some sort of visual comparison table where the effect of resolving different paths are shown based on different root configurations
