How do I prevent Argo from deleting itself when I sync an app? #17920

I have a custom helm app in a git repo. I have a kubernetes cluster running Argo CD. I would like to install my custom helm app onto the same cluster and keep the app synced. The behavior I'm seeing is when I sync my custom helm app, my Argo ingress gets deleted and I can no longer access Argo web UI. I'm intuitively thinking Argo runs Helm which determines the state of the cluster. It sees releases unrelated (Argo) to the custom helm app so those releases get deleted. Does that make sense? Am I intuiting that correctly? Or is there something else? How can I get Argo and my custom helm app to coexist? Am I doing something incorrectly? |
