Pull Request Attention

The Pull Request Attention app aims to help developer teams to know who is responsible for looking at the pull requests.

This simple automation can help you to know in which pull requests you need to pay attention, stop hacking the Github filters, don't worry about maintaining your own list, just let the Pull Request Attention app do the work.

Who is this for?

For developers:

For managers:

  • Avoid wasting time asking people to find who is responsible to attend a Pull Request, now just check the Assignees field.

Just try it and stop wasting time, it's free for public projects, so that you can try it as much as you need.

How it works

The Pull Request Attention bot analyzes the Pull Request events and updates the Pull Request by assigning the people that needs to pay attention to the it.

A practical example

  • A pull request is created, the author adds a reviewer, so, the Pull Request Attention bot assigns the pull request to the reviewer. Now the attention is on the reviewer.
  • A review is added to the pull request, so, the Pull Request Attention bot removes the reviewer from the assignees list, and the author is added to it. Now the attention is on the author.
  • When the author addresses the reviewer's comments, the Pull Request Attention bot removes the author from the assignees list, and adds the reviewer back to it. Now the attention is on the reviewer.
