Would anyone be interested in adding examples for linters to this repo? Or linking out to example repos? Off the top of my head SwiftLint is pretty universal to setup and easy to understand in this system once you see it configured

Linking out to example repos sounds like a great idea. Given the way that this framework works, the ideal would be to bake support for it into the individual rulesets. Maybe as support is landed, we can link to it from the main README of the project?

BTW, I started integrating this with rules_kotlin in bazelbuild/rules_kotlin#529 but haven't found the time to finish that PR off. If you've got a similar patch for SwiftLint, we can link to that too.
