What was accomplished

  • traffic experiments for Bento Compiler
  • BC service distribution and latency improvements
  • Various bugfixes and improvements to metrics reporting/collection
  • minimum-RTV threshold
  • Hand-off planning for work related to I2I: Introduce PREVIEW visibility state amphtml#37129

Lessons Learned

  • Deploying high-availability low-latency services is tricky

What was accomplished

  • go/client-ab: Updated the design document to incorporate some of the feedback.
  • Prototype updated to avoid runtime evaluations — transforms now encoded as JS functions at PRE_UA.
  • Open source review completed and launched at https://github.com/alexnj/ab-worker-prototype.

Lessons Learned

  • Open source speed-run process at Google.

What's Next

  • Prototype a restricted set of serialization types.
  • Draft design documents for:
    • Browser-integrated GDPR Privacy/Cookie Consent spec.
    • Paywall detection and link decoration.
  • Chrome Speed Metrics team presentation of go/client-ab.
