How can change the behaviour when enter key is pressed?

In the current scenario, when i have an open curly bracket { and press enter in javascript mode, the code folds like this

{
    // cursor here
}

when i do the same with parenthesis it does not happen. The behavior looks something like this

(
    //)

How can i get the same behavior from curly braces?
