While switch languages to test that VoiceOver is reading with proper language/accent. I noticed that the keyboard did not switch to the language and stayed, I assume to my device default language of English or the application's default language.

I assume this might be an issue for Android too.

Please see the attached screenshot showing what I'm talking about for the Spanish.

ilab - comply chain - ios - The user has switched the application to be in Spanish, but the keyboard stays in English

Looking at both the iOS and Android devices, when the user switches to Spanish, French, or Malay, the keyboard stays with an English keyboard and not the chosen language.

As discussed, this is more a functional requirement and not a 508 compliance issue. User can change keyboard using iOS and Android keyboard feature. So please close this issue.

Even if it's a functional issue, it should change the keyboard to the correct one. People might share a device, and the default is English, so the keyboard is set there, but another family member might use it and need the application in Spanish, so the keyboard in the application should be in Spanish.

We can change this to Functional instead of accessibility if need be.

For both Android and iOS versions of the application, the keyboard stays as English even if the language is Spanish, French, or Malay.

I changed the issue from "accessibility" to be "functional" for the "Labels".

For both Android and iOS versions of the application, the keyboard still stays as English even if the language is Spanish, French, or Malay.

I changed the issue from "accessibility" to be "functional" for the "Labels".

Adding a note so I remember that we need to check that VoiceOver switches to the same language as the person chooses and the keyboard should be.
