Training wheels with ts-node

I am expecting ts-node to be "effortless" to copy-paste-run code.

However, I ran into these problems:

<repl>.ts:4:8 - error TS2300: Duplicate identifier 'fs'.

4 import fs from 'fs';
         ~~
<repl>.ts:4:16 - error TS2307: Cannot find module 'fs' or its corresponding type declarations.

4 import fs from 'fs';
                 ~~~~

??? I just started ts-node. How can fs conflict?

I am expecting that the way to print text to the terminal "just works" ™️

Which seems to work differently than:

npm x ts-node -- --swc

Where somehow it works.
