Define error type

How to set an error type to avoid ts errors like

All the answers suggest checking the error by type in runtime, but it's not quite useful in some cases

Is there a different way to type an error?

I know that in version 4 it was possible to use onError and set an error type in callback parameter, and after that the error that is returned from the useQuery has those types. How we can do something like that in v5?

So when a page like https://tanstack.com/query/latest/docs/framework/react/reference/useQuery lists the error passed to retry, retryDelay and throwOnError as TError, it should really be Error?
