Shouldn't -in / -contains / -eq... yield the expected results with PSCustomObject's?

This yields the expected results:

# create an array of strings
$x="10"
$y="21"
$z="32"

$a=($x,$y,$z)

# create a string
$v = "21"

$a -contains $v
$v -in $a

that is:

True
True

OTOH, this doesn't--if you ask me, that is:

# create an array of PSCustomObject
$x=[PSCustomObject]@{
    A=10
    B=12
    C=14
}
$y=[PSCustomObject]@{
    A=21
    B=23
    C=25
}
$z=[PSCustomObject]@{
    A=33
    B=35
    C=37
}

$a=($x,$y,$z)

# create one PSCustomObject
$v=[PSCustomObject]@{
    A=10
    B=12
    C=14
}

$a -contains $v
$v -in $a

The output is:

False
False

This is probably linked to the fact the individual comparisons are made on the object references, not on the actual data:

PS> $x -eq $v
False

There is at least one way to work around this:

# mimic what '$a -contains $v' intuitively should do
@(Compare-Object -ReferenceObject $a -DifferenceObject $v -property a,b,c -IncludeEqual | Where-Object { $_.SideIndicator 
-eq '=='}).Count -ne 0
True

But this is way from obvious, not to mention that one must explicitly specify the list of properties to compare (is there a way to avoid this, BTW?).

Shouldn't those operators behave "the expected way"?
