Problem with previewing images + UX suggestion

A while ago, I was using OpenRefine for Wikimedia Commons and I found what I believe is a problem/bug and, in the meantime, I also have a UX suggestion.

1 - Problem: When uploading files, I'm not able to see the thumbnails as previews for the images, even though I have the WC extension properly installed. It only appears when I go over the link with the mouse. Is this how it is supposed to go? In all the tutorials I saw, it appears like the user can see all the images without using the mouse over the images.

2 - Suggestion: When retrieving wikitext and structured data from the files, at first, it's not clear I can select multiple properties, as there's no tick box or something like that. I think this could be a great UX improvement to the tool eventually.

Proposed solution

For the 2nd point, it could be nice to have a tick box or something in that sense, to make sure people understand they have selected the field. It took me a few times to understand this, when I was first using it.
