The real world is messy. It suffers from the curse of dimensionality, from missing or biased data. Humans can barely cope with that. All these things make statistics and AI hard, too. But it doesn't matter if a computer has to work hard. The CoD is not an impediment to AI, it is the reason why we should do AI.
