Fontconfig error when trying to run WeasyPrint #1339

Do you have the problem outside of VSCode? It may be the same problem as #1339 (comment).

It means that you probably have different versions of Pango and/or Harfbuzz and/or FontConfig installed, and that they don’t work well together.

You should probably check that the path where GTK is installed is at the beginning of your PATH environment variable. If it is already at the beginning, then you could try to reinstall GTK. And if it doesn’t work, you’ll probably have to wait for #1435 to be closed.

Fontconfig’s configuration is supposed to be installed since tschoonj/GTK-for-Windows-Runtime-Environment-Installer#14:

What do you have in the etc/fonts folder (that’s in your GTK installation folder)?

As there’s a configuration file, the problem probably comes from another version of Fontconfig installed elsewhere on your systems. If possible, you should try to remove this other version.

The real fix for this bug is to solve #1435. We can continue the discussion on that issue.
