It would be helpful to capture some anonymous usage stats about features that are used within FusionAuth. This is often offered by downloadable programs and helps the software publisher know where to focus effort and whether features are being used.
We'd want to make sure that the user consented and had the ability to opt out at any time, and that the statistics were aggregated.
Solution
Build a system to capture such stats, as well as a UI/API allowing an admin user to enable/disable them.
Clearly document what stats are captured and how to turn off sending stats. Make it clear that no PII will be captured.
Please give us a thumbs up or thumbs down as a reaction to help us prioritize this feature. Feel free to comment if you have a particular need or comment on how this feature should work.
