We should probably explain why candidates will still be on the ballot paper after deselection. I did ask the EC to produce some text, but can't find it now.

JF suggests: "Please can the Learn more link become a generic popup explaining SoPN deadlines etc then follow it with a new reference link to replace the existing "learn more" which is actually an external reference rather than the helpful explainer from DC that I keep expecting. Example here."

It's the candidate's party description that will remain on the ballot paper whilst no longer being entirely accurate / honest - there's never a question of the person no longer being an eligible candidate.

The Learn more popup could just be a line or two about how party decisions made after SoPN deadline do not influence the ballot paper. The biggest issue is using "Learn more" text for a reference that usually tells me nothing about the reason their old party description remains on the ballot paper (and in DC's data).

Also, within the existing DC page, the text "but will remain on the ballot paper" might be better as "but their original party description will remain on the ballot paper"
