The 19.07 of legato AF is recommended for WP77xx by Sierra Wireless. It is better to downgrade the version when build the endpoint target for WP77xx.

Show me the analysis and impact reports. Never say "it is better" without reasoning.

For the WP77xx platform, it based onto the 19.07 version of Legato AF.
But for the Fx30(with WP7607-7), it based onto the 18.06.3 version of Legato AF.

How should we choose the version to test on buildkite for simulator?

Confirm the compatibility between WP7607-7 and Legato 18.06.

The endpoint runs on the 18.06 correctly and so does system update. If we downgrade the Legato AF from 18.06.03 to 18.06 on WP76xx we have to face on the following risk:

  • 18.06.1 Patch: A bug caused a data corruption issue when performing a system update.
  • 18.06.2 Patch: The watchdog timer and fault action to recover any services that fail to start.
  • 18.06.3 Patch: LTE PCI API

Upon the above information, we only consider the versions after 18.06. However, we have to confirm the compatibility for further versions. Documentation is required.
