Possibility to skip initial JupyterLab waiting time (workspace clearing) #369

Hi, occasionally (I have not figured out the pattern yet) I get a white screen after the initial loading bar, which can take up to a minute or so. I then get the following message:

The loading screen is taking a long time. Would you like to clear the workspace or keep waiting?

I always click "yes" there, and I do not know what "clearing" actually does in this case (I have not seen anything getting lost in the process). What causes during this loading, and is it maybe possible to configure this to automatically "clear"?

@alexander-held sorry for late reply, did you see it on Opendata Facility?

I don't remember whether this was at the UNL Open Data facility or at UChicago. I will try to pay attention if it happens again. Feel free to close otherwise and I could re-open if needed.
